Alliance Graduate School recognizes the problem many students have in meeting their financial needs while being trained for Christian ministry. Financial assistance is made available to students of good character, academic standing, ministerial potential and real need. However, we urge students to seek additional financial aid to help cover part of their study expenses. Some grants are available from such sources as churches, religious agencies and friends who believe in training potential church leaders. Seminary Financial Aid is granted to deserving students of any denomination on a semester-to-semester basis. Students should apply for a grant through the Seminary’s Financial Aid Office where forms are available and processed.
The seminary, through the Scholarship Committee under the Dean of Students, provides scholarships to qualified students who meet the following criteria:
1. Ministry potential: The scholar must be committed to full-time ministry after graduation.
2. Character: The scholar must demonstrate and maintain Christian maturity and good moral behavior.
3. Academic: The scholar must maintain a grade-point average (GPA) of 1.75 every semester.
4. Need: The scholar must establish need for financial assistance.
The scholarship grant covers only one semester. Scholars who pass the Scholarship Committee’s evaluation held at the end of the semester may receive another grant. Students may apply in writing and must fill out the official form for scholarship application.(pdf format)
(For more information, please see the Office of the Dean of Students.)
The seminary, through the Office of the Dean of Students, provides financial assistance to needy students in two forms:
-
Loan-to students who can afford to borrow, but whose money is delayed, or who are in an emergency situation;
-
Grant-to students who cannot afford to borrow, but who are in need. Grants are given to needy students regardless of their academic performance.
